Services
MuseumTech designs and builds the complete object: the enclosure in wood, brass or steel, the electronics and software inside it, and the installation on site. Technology and craft come from the same workshop. The result is an installation that looks like part of the museum, not like a device.
Audio points
A cabinet or panel with one or more physical buttons. Each button plays a fragment: a voice, a sound or music. No screen, no menu. Suitable for spaces where a display would be distracting. Materials such as oak and brass can be matched to the interior. The museum can replace the fragments itself.
Custom furniture and enclosures
Every installation gets an enclosure that suits the room. Cabinets, panels, lecterns and display-case inserts are made in our own workshop: solid oak or other wood to choice, etched or engraved brass plates, powder-coated steel, CNC-milled parts. Buttons, fronts and finish are designed around the interior and the collection, with the electronics planned from the inside out.
The craft work is carried out under the name Saydam Custom Shop, MuseumTech's workshop. Standalone museum furniture without technology is also possible.
Example: Het Hijgend Hert, oak cabinet with etched brass front.
Object information for museum display cases
A touchscreen beside or inside the display case with text and images for each object. The museum manages the content through a simple management environment; changes are visible immediately. Suitable for collections that change regularly.
Interactive displays
A screen in a calm metal enclosure for images, video and deeper content that cannot physically fit in the space. Operation needs no explanation. Size, height and finish are adapted to each exhibition.
Electronics and software
In-house electronics and software where standard products fall short: sensors, lighting, multiple audio channels and integration with existing systems. The base is the MuseDAC+ platform on Raspberry Pi, in use in museum and escape room installations since 2024.
Installation, management and maintenance
Mounting on site, instructions for the administrator and documentation are part of every project. Installations are designed to run for years without intervention. If a Raspberry Pi fails, only the Pi is replaced; the configuration lives on the board. Maintenance or expansion on request.
Approach and costs
An on-site conversation is followed by a fixed-price proposal. Small audio points ship within a few weeks; larger installations are scheduled around the exhibition build. Indication: audio points from € X, touchscreen solutions from € Y, excl. VAT.
